eBook Readers Kobo Vox 7 Inch Screen
 |
|
Kobo recently released the first tablet in their arsenal called the Kobo Vox at different locations all over the United States and in their official website. The product is set at only $199. The Kobo Vox has a multi-touch screen display measuring 7 inches with a resolution of 1025 x 600. The colors fully come out and applications released by Kobo are arranged properly so that these suit the screen perfectly. Several of the menus,
eBooks and applications are set in either Portrait or Landscape orientations.
The Features
The Kobo Vox features 8 GB of internal memory, and with a MicroSD card, it can be expanded up to 32 GB which is more than enough space to keep all your files and books. The device only has a very simple outlet where you can insert the card, but this tends to gather dust or get damaged easily without proper protection due to the absence of a rubber or protective clasp. Other things to expect include the 512 MB RAM and 800 MHZ CPU processor. Browsing through the menus and applications tends to be very fast, but some user find that loading PDF files and reading graphic books and comics will take some time. Turning pages after everything has fully loaded is generally fast.
On Appearance
Users will find a single mono speaker at the right portion of the device. The volume button is also built at the right side of the product. A micro SD button and port allows you to charge the product to transfer files and data. There's also a 3.5 mm headphone jack at the base of the Kobo Vox
eBook reader. A power button is available in the form of a single press button. Most
eBook readers feature the slider type. The back of the product appears very simple and neat, featuring a quilted background that's common in the Kobo Touch. The product has a very sleek and stylish look, although everything seems very simple but not cheap.
The Kobo Vox operates using the Google Android 2.3 OS. GUI or UI weren't very noticeable which makes the produce highly useful for Android enthusiasts. One of the programs that users will like is the Kobo Pulse, which mixes the features of Twitter,
FaceBook and YouTube. Purchasing books allows you to find how popular it is by viewing the red pulse at the page base. The bigger the pulse, the more buyers that book has. You will also find other helpful features when searching for
eBooks such as viewing reviews about the books, how many times it has been read, likes and dislikes and current number of people actually reading it.
