PDF eBooks Reader Iriver Story HD
 |
|
Google has come up with a special PDF eBooks reader that will set itself apart from the popular products that Barnes & Noble and Amazon has released in the past few years. The iriver Story HD features several Google
eBooks and is the very first dedicated eBook reader that suits the ecosystem of books from Google.
Starting Features
The iriver Story HD is initially priced at $139, which is highly competitive with the Nook and Kindle. The device has a number of good features to watch out for as well, like the higher-resolution screen and Cortex A8
processor. This is the ideal PDF
eBooks reader for avid Google browsers. Those who look at the iriver Story HD might find a number of similarities with the Kindle. The product features an e-ink screen, white color, a full QWERTY keyboard at the bottom and 6 inches of screen.
The device only measures 7.5 inches high, 5.0 inches wide and 0.4 inches deep. It also measures only 7.3 ounces. The physical look of the Story HD has a brown back panel and keyboard and a white front. The face is modern and stylish. You will also find an SD card slot at the right portion, a power slider at the back and a small USB port at the base. The iriver feels very comfortable to the hand and it's very ideal for reading in almost any place.
More to Expect
Users might find the keys rather small and feeling as if these were stuck. There are four buttons at the top of the keyboard: Enter, Home Back and Option. There's also a bar that allows you to turn between pages and scroll. Press the entire bar down to turn the pages forward, or press on the right part. Users also admire the swipe-on screen and buttons on the sides of the screen. Navigation is generally easy with the iriver Story HD and you can easily manage using only one hand. The middle of the bar, however, cannot be clicked for choosing options. Users have to return to the Enter button.
The strongest part of the iriver Story HD is probably the screen. It has a very aesthetic appeal and features a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. Because of the e-ink, images and text appear in gray shades. The screen is basically very sharp and clear. You can have 2 GB of built-in storage, with the SD card allowing you to go up to 32 GB.
